These jacks are pretty much perfect for my build! The way the plug is designed allows for cables to be run spaced super close to each other, allowing me to space pedals so much closer together. They also allow me to make full use of my multifx by being able to plug into multiple jacks which are right next to each other without worrying about clamping forces or damaging the pedal or cable. They are quite easy to solder as well, since there is a layer of paper to prevent shorts between Tip and ground. I found it was a bit difficult to tin the housing, so for some I wedged some ground wire between the housing pieces and clamped it with screws, which may not be the best solution but it works. Would buy again, I got 16 for my pedalboard!

- too big for stereo pedals

Don’t like the crimping mechanism, but good connector.

I understand that it is pancake style but, the way it hold the cable is not great. I wouldn’t trust it in an instrument cable. If you use slightly thinner cables than the standard instrument wire, it slips. Such a shame.

A great budget alternative to expensive squareplu connestors. They are just a little thicker, much cheaper but great quality.
I'm surprised I don't see the used more often, Highly recomended.

Solid build, very similar to square plug just slightly more depth sticking out of pedal like a few mm. The built in strain relief is a bit too wide for 4mm cable and would likely fit 5.5 to 6mm cable better
