These are classic strings for a reason.
These are lighter gauge set for the Deep Talking Labella Flats, but they still sound incredible on my modified Yamaha RBX260F fretless. I wanted a little bit of extra brightness without ruining the mellow thump of a fretless and these were exactly what I wanted.

My First and Last Flatwound Strings
I bought these as my first set of flatwounds, and after living with them for several months, I honestly can’t imagine replacing them with anything else.
I installed them on my Sire Marcus Miller P5R Precision Bass, and they’ve completely transformed the instrument.
The feel is incredibly smooth and comfortable. Tonally, they deliver exactly what I was looking for: a warm, full, supportive sound with that unmistakable flatwound thump, strong fundamental notes, and beautifully controlled sustain.
They’ve been perfect for soul, Motown, and classic fingerstyle playing, and they pair beautifully with a Precision Bass. Together with a good setup, they gave my P5R the vintage voice I had always imagined for it.
If you’re looking for a classic flatwound tone with outstanding feel and quality, I highly recommend these.
