Rancher, the red beauty
I though long and hard before buying this guitar, as its not the "usual" size, how would size affect the sound it produces and so on.
Now, after almost a year that I have it Im very happy that I made this purchase. Not only it looks amazing and its an eye candy, it also plays beautiful both acoustic and plugged in, either you re just strumming chords or scales. Pickup is really very good with a built in tuner which does the job great. Only disadvantage of this guitar is that you just cant put it down.
Kidding aside, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested.

Gretsch G5022CE Rancher Jumbo – An Incredible Guitar
I honestly can’t say enough good things about the Gretsch G5022CE Rancher Jumbo.
From the moment I picked it up, it just felt like a guitar I was going to enjoy playing. The first thing that really stands out is the sound. It has a big, warm, full-bodied tone with plenty of character, and the jumbo body gives it an incredible presence without making it feel harsh or overpowering.
The craftsmanship is beautiful. The Rancher-style soundhole gives it a distinctive look, and there’s something about the combination of the design, finish and overall feel that makes this guitar really special. It’s one of those guitars that you find yourself looking at even when you’re not playing it!
Where it really shines for me, though, is playing it. Whether I’m strumming chords, playing softer fingerpicking patterns or just sitting down and playing for the enjoyment of it, it responds beautifully. The neck feels comfortable, the action is great, and it has a really satisfying feel under the fingers.
The onboard electronics are another big plus. Plugged in, it retains the character of the acoustic rather than losing that natural sound, which makes it a really versatile guitar.
But probably the biggest compliment I can give it is this: I keep wanting to pick it up and play it.
I started playing guitar because I wanted to bring good music to people rather than impress anyone, and this guitar has made that journey even more enjoyable. It inspires me to keep learning, especially with fingerpicking and different playing styles.
For the money, I think the Gretsch G5022CE Rancher Jumbo offers an incredible combination of looks, tone, playability and character. It doesn’t just feel like another guitar in the collection — it has its own personality.
Absolutely delighted with it. Five stars without hesitation. 🎸⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of the best guitars I’ve ever played.
It feels very soft but sounds like a lion.

Wow Red Beauty you rock!
I’ve had her a few days & wow she just moulded into my hands. She is stunning! More a red orange than red but still she makes an impact!
I changed the strings to 13s which gives her an even deeper sound.
Bought this as I wanted to test changing over to Jumbo for fatter strumming & deeper finger picking & she’s perfect! The price is great & I just ordered a mono case to keep her fast as she’s coming out for her first gig this week which I did not expect to happen so fast!.
Early days but I can honestly say I’m so happy already! Thanks Thomann 👌
