great, does what it is supposed to do very effectively

This is my first and only noisegate pedal so I have nothing to compare it against. However it does what it is supposed to do, very effectively. I've been using it for 6+ months now.

It has two modes: "soft" for typical use, and "hard" for a stronger noise reduction. And there's a threshold knob for adjusting the "limit".

I've set my threshold to 40-50% and use the "soft" mode, and it does it's job with 5 other pedals connected and with any of my 6 guitars (all different brands). So it should offer a good range of customization for most users or set-ups.

It's also very small, and thus easy to fit on your board.

Highly compact and budget friendly little pedal

It strips away unnecessary stuff by relying on 2 simple controls, so no messing with detailed setup.

The pros - its exceptional value!, its compact, doesn't seem to add any colour to your tone and it reacts quickly.

The cons - lacks a send/return loop (not a big issue), like most budget gate pedals, if its set to high in hard mode, the clamp down is abrupt and cuts off the tail end of notes, this is not a big issue, with effective use of the threshold control though, but it could be better.

In conclusion it is a brilliant, no-nonsense pedal. Best suited for gigging on a budget, bedroom players battling single-coil hum, or rock/metal guitarists who want a second, compact gate on the board. If you need a specialized 4-cable method gate to tame a chaotic high-gain amp loop, look elsewhere; otherwise, this is a slightly flawed but fantastic budget friendly little pedal.

This pedal does exactly what it should do: killing unwanted noise in your amp. Just plug it in, Find the right frequenty with the switch and the noise is gone. So no shielding of your guitars with tape etc, just use This little pedal and the noise issues disapear.
