Great, despite imperfect knobs and switchgear.
As expected of a MIJ guitar, the fretwork and paint are excellent. The color, in particular, is gorgeous in person. My example weighs 3.65kg.
The sound is good, but I prefer a warmer/hotter bridge pickup. This is true for (almost) every P90 guitar, not just this one.
The case is fine.
The in-between positions (2 and 4) are way better than I thought they would be.
The transformer boost is... Unnecessary. Yamaha, if you are reading this, I would much rather have an active boost and a phantom coil for hum cancelling.
Nitpicks:
1. The pickup selector snaps harder into the 5th position than the rest of the positions.
2. The pots have different rolling resistances and they are tiny.
3. Fret edges are slightly rounded, but I expected better at the price.
To conclude, I am very happy with this guitar.
