Great snake!
I used it for a last minute connection between a rack room and a mixing room. It was too late for putting analog cabling so we use a "lost" ?" conduit, that was already inside a wall, and ran a CAT6 cable. Problem solved.
It is made of a hard-to-bend-or-break metal and painted with a high gloss red colour that is almost hypnotic.
Jokes apart, I highly recommend this box and its counterpart (3FB) for 4-channel snakes whether permanent or temporary.
Five Stars!
PS. Bought it from Mexico. It arrived as fast as UPS could fly even in spite of the contingence times. Kudos to the expedite Thomann shipping service!

A genuine game changer – unbeatable for the price
These little boxes have genuinely changed the way I run analogue audio connections.
The concept is brilliantly simple: four analogue audio channels over a single Cat5, Cat6 or Cat7 cable. Depending on the setup, I can use them to send or receive four channels wherever I need them. In situations where I would previously have run several individual XLR cables or a traditional multicore, I can now use one network cable instead. Cleaner, faster and much easier to manage.
I have also used the system in a real live-event situation with a 70-metre Cat cable between the two boxes, and it worked like a charm. Four analogue channels over one long, inexpensive and easy-to-handle cable – exactly the kind of solution that makes life easier when setting up an event.
What makes the Cat Snake system particularly useful for me is its versatility. It can replace a surprising amount of conventional cabling, and since the system is passive, there is very little to complicate the setup.
The build quality is excellent as well. These things are built like tanks. The housings feel extremely solid and the connectors are well protected, so I have no concerns about using them regularly in real-world live environments.
And then there is the price. Considering what they allow you to do and how much traditional cabling they can replace, the value for money is exceptional.
Simple idea, excellent execution, extremely versatile and built to last. I'm extremely happy with both the 3MB and 3FC. For me, these are genuine problem-solving tools rather than just another studio or live-sound accessory.
At this price, they are very hard to beat.

Finally a way to reduce cables and untidy mess!
well built, tidy, solid and reliable. Absolutely excellent. I just wish there where more in's and outs, even if it requires another couple of CAT cables. It would be cheaper than buying multiple units.

Works as expected
Very happy with this product, very sturdy, and has worked problem free in my studio for some time now. It wasn't working for phantom power when I first got it, Thomann told me to try a different CAT cable so I found a cheap CAT6 and it worked perfectly. Highly recommended

Works.
I didn't know what to expect but it works and also looks good. Sometimes a black one would be better.

Nice build quality
Bought a set for extending monitor mixes into the live room. works like a charm and I also think this would work flawlessly as a cat 4 channel multicore sane for live/events.

The best snake on the market!
I don't even know where to start with this review. For about 2 years I've been using a 30 meter snake to get my mics to my preamps from my drumroom and I've always noticed how limiting that is.
For one, not the best quality and 30m is asking for trouble with losing a bit of treble. That and having all your inputs on one place in your drumroom can get messy and outright annoying.
With the cat6 system, it's very much simplified my workflow, cleaned up my floors and has allowed me do ditch 5+ meter cables dangling all over my room like a pit of snakes!
If you're looking to wire up your studio as cheaply and effectively as possible, this is it!

Nice little box, very solid.
Nicely put together box, ond if the casing screws was stripped, but otherwise no complaints. Very nice solution for analog over cat. Can be used with standard unshielded cable if you don’t need phantom power.

The perfect solution
The person who invented and developed this should receive a Nobel Prize. A note to buyers: please remember to purchase the appropriate network cable. CAT5 UTP will not work. CAT6-7 STP ONLY !!
