Une très bonne cymbale... mais pas pour moi

Venant tout juste de détruire ma bonne vieille Paiste 2000 (oui oui, 2000, pas 2002) power crash 18", j'ai voulu faire confiance à Sabian avec la série AAX, chez qui j'ai déjà pris ma ride. Alors niveau qualité de fabrication, rien à dire. elle est très belle, très brillante, elle respire vraiment la qualité.

Mais, justement déjà pour commencer, elle est brillante, donc on la manipule 1 fois, et elle n'est plus si brillante que ça sur les bords. La cloche, on a l'impression qu'ils n'ont pas su si ils la faisait brut ou brillante, donc elle n'est ni vraiment l'un, ni vraiment l'autre. Donc tout de suite, j'ai commencé à tiquer. Ensuite, malgré le fait d'être medium, elle est vraiment fine (je n'ose même pas imaginer ce que doit donner la version thin), trop fine pour moi, je n'ai pas confiance lorsque je la frappe. Enfin, elle a vraiment un très bon son, un super sustain, tout ça, mais personnellement, le son ne me convient pas du tout. Ca dénote beaucoup trop du son que j'avais avec ma Paiste, et c'est beaucoup trop aigu.

Compte tenu de tout cela, je mets une bonne note, parce que c'est une bonne cymbale très bien faite, c'est simplement que, d'un point de vue personnel, ca ne va pas.
