A VERY RARE beast !
I have come to really like flat nylon wound bass strings.
No others are so comfortable to play.
Having recently acquired a Danelectro Longhorn Bass I decided to look for nylon wound strings for this VERY short scale instrument.
These strings are the closest available but are still not quite as short as this instrument should have.
The A and D strings fit perfectly, but the E goes above the nut up to the tuner for about 1cm, while the G goes around the tuner slightly.
I realise that they were really intended for "Beatles" basses, so I'm not really complaining. They sound fine and are a dream to play.

Nice quality strings
These strings have a nice vintage sound. If you are trying to achieve Pauls sound on rooftop these strings are the right choice for you.

Must need for Beatle fans
When I put these strings on my hofner violin bass, plugged it through my amp, the sound was just perfect, dialled in some settings and it was near enough mccartneys rooftop tone, would definitely recommend
