Excellent quality and very useful in the studio
I already own several Manfrotto products and stands, so I knew what level of build quality to expect. The 237 Flexarm certainly doesn't disappoint – it feels solid, well made and reliable.
I bought it mainly for studio use, where it is very useful for positioning microphones in places that are difficult or impossible to reach with conventional rigid stands. The 55 cm length gives you plenty of flexibility, while the arm is still easy to position exactly where you need it.
I have also used it successfully as a support for a GoPro, which makes it a surprisingly versatile little piece of equipment. Personally, however, I wouldn't mount anything significantly heavier on it. For lightweight microphones, small cameras and accessories, it does exactly what I need.
It's one of those simple studio accessories that doesn't look particularly exciting at first, but once you have one, you quickly find more and more uses for it. Typical Manfrotto quality and a very useful addition to my studio setup.
